Professional training

Gallery of Matica Srpska is the ideal place to start your professional career. If you are a graduate art historian or a graduate conservator and restorer, our professional training program offers you the opportunity to experience working in a museum and gain essential skills. After completion of a one-year program, you have the right to take a professional exam to obtain titles of a curator, conservator and / or restorer.

Through your work in the Gallery you will:

• Get acquainted with the basic museology principles of work,
• Acquire knowledge about art, particularly about the GMS art collection,
• Participate in the planning and implementation of numerous programs – from exhibitions, through programs intended for various groups of visitors, to conservation and restoration projects,
• Experience teamwork and spirit,
• Discover your new aptitudes and acquire new skills.
